by Tarriona Ball
Sometimes while searching the 811s on the library shelves for my bedtime poetry read, a title or a cover just hits me and I take a chance. How could I resist Vulnerable AF?
Tarriona “Tank” Ball is the lead singer of the New Orleans group Tank and the Bangas, whom I had never heard of but now I love them. Her debut book of poetry is all about heartsickness, and you can hear her chops as a lyricist and spoken word artist. Hers was a refreshing new voice in my poetry queue.
